Ha’íínl’e - To endure
Ha’íínl’e - To endure

My experiences of being raised on a reservation has had challenging and rewarding impacts on my life, but there is no word in the English language that can describe the feeling when you know where you come from is the same place your ancestors have been since time immemorial. My name is Treston Chee (He/Him) and I am a visual artist based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I have received a Bachelor of Fine Arts emphasizing in Photography and Media from the Institute of American Indian Arts and currently manage a freelance production business. Through my creations with photography and film-making I embody guidance, resiliency and collaboration to share stories that speak of connections, empathy, inspiration, hardship, and generosity.

My approach in photography and film is based on grassroot efforts.
